WEIGH-INS  AND REGISTRATION:

Wrestlers will register individually at weigh-ins.  Wrestlers must present a certified copy of their birth-certificate; have a current AAU card (cards will be on sale at registration); and have a red and blue reversible singlet to be allowed to compete.

To expedite weigh-ins, please have each wrestler bring these copies with them. A club may also bring a club book for back-up, but again please send a copy with each wrestler. Fees for each style of wrestling will be $8.00 per style. Please pay these fees INDIVIDUALLY - CASH ONLY please.

See Tournament Schedule for weigh-in times. ALL weigh-ins will be at the Sidney Richland Ranger Hockey Building (7th Ave. SW, Sidney ). We WILL NOT offer weigh-ins in Glendive this year.

Wrestlers need only weigh in one time for this tournament. If you weigh in for the Greco-Roman and/or Sombo this weight will be used for the Freestyle competition. Wrestlers competing in only the Freestyle competition will not be allowed to weigh-in prior to the Friday evening weigh-ins. Separate draw numbers will be used for each competition. The 5 tenths rule will be in effect for all weigh-ins.; Once a wrestler steps on the scale, if they are 5 tenths of a pound over they will be allowed to lose down to the lower weight. If they are 6 tenths of a pound or more over, they will be placed in the existing weight bracket.

COACHES PASSES AND CONDUCT:

Coaches passes will be issued at a cost of $20.00 per pass. No passes will be issued without a valid AAU coaches card.  All coaches will need to purchase their floor passes at the tournament.  Passes will be sold at weigh-ins.

Clubs will be reimbursed for coaches passes once the number of wrestlers has been determined for each club. One pass will be issued per 7 wrestlers, up to 7 passes.  (7 wrestlers = 1 pass; 14 wrestlers = 2 passes;  21 wrestlers = 3 passes, etc.

Passes will be revoked for: Having more than two coaches at a match; profanity and or unsportsmanlike conduct;     harassment or abuse of tournament officials and workers;  allowing wrestlers to be on the floor when they are not wrestling; switching passes, etc.

Coaches will be issued one numbered pass for the duration of the tournament, if you lose it or remove it , it will not be reissued. Wristbands will be fastened at the tournament by a tournament worker, any attempt to transfer a coaches pass to another person will automatically disqualify that coach.

One coach (preferably the head coach), will be issued a special colored wrist-band.  This will be the ONLY coach allowed in the pairing room.  Clubs please be prepared to specify which coach will be allowed access to pairing.

AWARDS:
Awards will be given out as soon as practical after the completion of a weight class, in most cases within an hour. These weight groups will be called to the awards area throughout the tournament and awarded to the individuals. It is each club’s responsibility to make sure that they pick-up any unclaimed award at the conclusion of the tournament.

1st place winners will receive a State Champion patch along with their award.

1st- 6th place receive awards.

Ironman champions will receive a special award.

Photos will be taken during awards by a professional photographer. Information on purchasing these photos will be at the tournament. Crowd control issues do not allow parents access to the floor for pictures. If you have a club photographer you will be issued ONE special pass. Please see Lisa Gorder at the tournament for your pass. We apologize for the inconvience ahead of time and ask that you please inform your parents of the situation. Thank you.

TEAM AWARDS:

All traveling trophies will be awarded. If your club is in possession of one of these trophies, please get them to the tournament director by the start of the tournament.

Teams will need to complete a ten-man team sheet and get it to the tournament director prior to the start of each tournament.

If you are competing for three team trophies, you must turn in three ten-man team sheets marked accordingly.

There are two team competitions for the Freestyle Tournament.

To compete in both you must turn in a ten-man team sheet, as well as a complete team roster.  Make sure these are signed and the proper weights and classes are filled in.
