It is time to start getting plants ready for spring
and summer. Students began by making about 90 geranium cuttings.
Of these, about 75% will actually root -- the percentage goes
up as the days get longer. Obviously, these plants know something.
Many of our geraniums come off of plants originally found in front
of the nursing school building at Montana State University Bozeman
about 12 years ago. We will start putting in seeds soon, I hope,
but have much less luck since we don't have a green house -- just
the science lab.
