Roundup's Rodeo Heritage

Roundup is very proud of its rodeo heritage. Rodeo has been a part of our town history from its beginning, with Roundup being named after the cattle roundups that helped establish our town. Early rodeos took place after the roundup when cowboys gathered to test their skills and prove who was the best. Roundup, being the Spanish word for rodeo, makes rodeo the center of attention in our town. So, where better to come and experience one of the best two day rodeos in Montana? Come join us this Independence Day and celebrate Rodeo Roundup on July 3rd and 4th, when the Northern Rodeo Association cowboys test their skills against some of the best stock around.

For the adventurous, thrill-seeking nonprofessionals we offer Bull Poker and the Ranch Horse Survivor Race, two very exciting events for not only the contestant but also for the spectator. Experience the western way of life as we live it in Roundup, Montana. Enjoy the scenic rodeo grounds nestled under the majestic cottonwood trees along the cool Musselshell River.
