Adoption Donkeys

We have several donkeys that would be good companion animals for human or other equine. Most have special needs that are not debilitating but make them unfit for riding, driving or packing. Most would be fine for occasional light work like carrying a grandchild around the pasture. We will get all the paper work done for transportation to your home. There is a nominal adoption fee and some questions to answer. We will help find transportation but it will be the adoptors expense.

Crook Foot came to us with long crooked toes. Steve chopped them off and has been giving her nice little donkey feet. Her feet still want to grow crooked but with regular trimming they get her around just fine. She was also very wild and untrusting. She is still shy but if she had her own people she would change. $100 to adopt Crook Foot.

Dove is a mammoth jennet. She had trouble with her first pregnancy and has stiff front feet now due to laminitis. She needs the attention of a farrier that knows how to trim her correctly. She is 59". She should not be bred as the extra weight would be hard on her legs. She is strictly a companion donkey. $200

Thelma is an older donkey, she is 14 years old. We were training her with her sister as a team but she had a bog spavin that could not stand the pressure. She is not lame but when pulling a load on the wagon we notice she favors it some and it appears to be getting bigger. She gets around fine in the pasture. Thelma is spayed. $150 Louise her sister is a red jennet and is also for sale. The 2 make quite a pair and are always together. Louise is also spayed. $500
