We have been together for 21 years and have four children, and one Grandson  who is very special in our lives and he keeps us all young.
The original T&M Ranch started in Northeast California but our dream was always to live in Montana. That dream came true about five years ago when we moved the ranch to the beautiful High Desert Country around Roundup, Montana and our horse ranch dream became our life.

Mary's life has revolved around horses since she was 3 years old riding herd with her Dad, 4-H, Parades, Barrel Racing, Horse Showing  and even a tour with a Sheriff's Mounted Posse. Ranching has played a big role in her life but horses were the catalyst for the future. Terry is a great sport with all that is involved with in raising horses; he also enjoys riding and hunting by horseback in the back country.

While she owned many different horses in her early years, Mary's first Appaloosa colt was brought into her life when she was 12 years old, and she has loved them ever since. Mary enjoys working with all the horses, including training, riding, and just hanging out around the barn.

Mary's first Appaloosa Mare (
Nez Perce Little Babe) won Grand Champion Mare twice and numerous Western Pleasure and Trail Classes. and was being used in the every day ranch work. Terry used this mare in parades and put on many miles of hunting. Our daughter, Kathy Jo, used Babe in 4-H and Junior Rodeos and enjoyed using her for just pure pleasure riding. We lost this one of a kind mare in June 1994. She will never be forgotten.

The ranches main interest is to involve all of our stock in a training program that includes all adult horses being broke to ride, trim, load and tolerant of other ranch animals. The weanlings/yearlings are halter broke, able to be trimmed, will trailer load, tolerant of other ranch animals and also trained in voice commands. We are confident that there won't be any disappointments when buying from us.

While this is a fledgling operation at this time, we are striving to bring out the best in a breeding program that will result in not only color, but sound confirmation, strong pedigree as well as good dispositions. It is our opinion that all four of these traits are and will remain important to our buyers.
Thank you for visiting our website and we hope you enjoy the tour.
