Overlooking the course from the North with the Snowy Mountains in the background The Pine Meadows Golf Course is located in beautiful Lewistown, Montana. Pine Meadows is a semi-private golf course that invites members and non-members alike to come and enjoy one of the most challenging 9-hole courses in Montana. The course has a somewhat hilly layout that seldom yields the golfer a level lie. The greens are small with enough break to challenge a good golfer. While pine trees are prevalent on the course, the golfer will find them more aesthetic than bothersome for the most part. The par 3's are rated as 2 of the most difficult in Montana. It all adds up to a great golfing experience you shouldn't pass up. The original course was laid out in the early 30's with sand greens. In the late
forties, the course was redesigned by Herb Hasch, the club pro at the time, and grass
greens were planted. |
