Truck Rules
Production automobiles only, Pickups or SUVs up to 1 ton.
No cars, no beds over 8 feet, no dually’s, no body or suspension lifts.
If the vehicle is a 4 wheel drive front drive line must be removed.
Fuel: Petroleum based fuels only.
All chrome, plastic and loose metal must be removed.
No glass in vehicle or bottom of doors except instrument glass.
All flammable materials must be removed form the interior, (carpet, headliner, etc….)
If vehicle has a sunroof, that area must be covered with metal and must be securely fastened.
A 3/16” clutch plate shield required on all manual transmissions.
Drive line loop required
Minimum Roll Cage: 6 point with 3 door bars and a halo
Maximum Roll Cage: anything you want but is not allowed to extend past the core support.
All points of the roll cage must attach to the frame or be securely bolted to the body.
Five point Harness, Window Net, front window bars
All doors, trunk and hood must be bolted, chained or welded closed
Race vehicles must have a 4” x 10” fire slot in the hood on the passenger side
All four brakes must be in good working order at start of race.
Battery must be moved into drivers compartment secured and covered
Gas tank may remain stock (Saddle tanks that are outside the frame and tanks mounted in the drivers compartment
must be moved to the bed. If moved into the bed it must be secured and a fire barrier
in place between the bed and the drivers compartment
Radiator must remain in stock position
Transmission cooler may be moved to the bed,
if this is done there must be a fire barrier between the cooler and the drivers compartment.
Vehicles equipped with an electrical fuel pump must have a kill switch installed on the passenger
side roll bar with the switch painted orange. A (3) three inch letter E must be painted behind the number
on the vehicle to identify that the vehicle is equipped with an electric fuel pump.
Rollover kill switch must be installed in all vehicles equipped with an electric fuel pump.
Master Shut-off Switch recommended to be installed: mounted in center of dash area,
accessible for safety crew to reach from driver side, passenger side and through the windshield area.
No push bars attached to the front bumper
Mud flaps are mandatory on all vehicles at the start of the race. Mud flaps must be securely bolted to the rear bumper
Each vehicle must have a fire extinguisher in their pit area, it does not need to be mounted in the vehicle.
Each driver will wear Long pants, enclosed shoes, shirt and Helmet.
No studded tires allowed.
A five-point harness that goes over both shoulders and across the lap mandatory.
NO HOMEMADE HARNESS OR WINDOW NETS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR THE RACES. Harness must anchor below shoulder line.
All five points must be in use.
An approved racing window net is mandatory to cover the driver’s door window opening.
A covering is required over the driver’s windshield area. This does not have to cover the entire window.
No door screen allowed. 1/8” expanded metal recommended. A support bar located in the center of the windshield is mandatory.
Numbers have to 14” or larger on both front doors and be contrasting in color to the body color of the vehicle.
A number fin is required on the top of the vehicle, with numbers being on both sides of the fin.
You may use either a single fin or an A-frame fin. The numbers on the fin must be no smaller than 7”
and the fin must be painted black with white numbers or white with black numbers. No Exceptions!
The fin must be mounted on the center of the roof so that the numbers can be read from the side of the vehicle.
