Makotahena, or A-Frame, is located on one of the highest points in Makoshika State Park. Standing on the back deck, one can view the badlands for as far as the eye can see. Makotahena is a modern A-frame style lodge with a ceiling height of 30 feet at the apex. A large redwood deck provides outdoor seating to watch the sunset. Inside the lodge is a furnished and carpeted living room area with fireplace, a dining area, a well equipped kitchen, and men's and women's bathrooms with showers. A swing set and fenced tennis/basketball court are available for use. |

Sleepy Hollow is a series of cabins nestled in a pine-studded hollow on the Lions Camp property. The main cabin has a kitchen and dining area, while the sleeping cabins provide rustic overnight accommodations. |
