Break Time
Grades 5-12 are enjoying a mid-morning break again this year. Still abiding by the policy, The Nut Hut offers many foods, drinks and other items for sale before school, and during break. Class keychains are now available.

The Nut Hut offers a great variety of foods and snacks to pick from during break, such as: PB&J Sandwiches, a variety of crackers, trailmix, jerky, quesadillas, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, fruit snacks, water and more.

Snacks that have been approved include: Granola Bars, Cereal Bars, Fruits/Vegetables, Cheese and Crackers (individual packages), Gogurt, Jerky, 1 prepared sandwich, Water.

Snacks that are not approved include: Yogurt, All Pop (regular and diet), Potato Chips/Doritos/Cheetos/etc., Cookies, Candy, all sweets, boxes of crackers/loaves of bread/sandwich makings.

The Nut Hut now offers 3 flavors of PowerAde and juice, which were nonapproved beverages until the start of this year.

The purpose of the break is not to eat a meal, rather just a quick snack to avoid the mid-morning blahs. Students are reminded that the break can be eliminated if it is abused and classes can be lengthened, snacks that are not approved can be taken away, and that the school is not a coffee house.
