Communities empowered through Partnerships

There are seven RC&D areas in Montana. Each RC&D defines its own goals and objectives to meet local needs. Authorized in 1992, Eastern Plains RC&D encompasses 16 counties in eastern Montana-Carter, Custer, Daniels, Dawson, Fallon, Garfield, McCone, Powder River, Prairie, Richland, Roosevelt, Rosebud, Sheridan, Treasure, Valley, and Wibaux.
The Eastern Plains Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc. (RC&D) is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and can receive funds from private foundations, corporations, and individuals for funding selected projects.

Assistance Available

Identify potential funding sources and conduct grant searches.
Technical assistance for new businesses, ideas, or natural resource development and improvement.
Training seminars and workshops.
Facilitation of group meetings for communities and sponsors of large projects.
Coordination of efforts among counties and with federal, state, and local agencies.
Council

Our council is comprised of one representative from each county, tribal, and municipal government and conservation district.
