On Wednesday April 14, 1999, a large 
motorhome pulling a travel trailer parked on Main Street Circle in front of our office.  Two middle-aged men came in to inquire about possible land sales.  They were from northern Michigan and were convinced that civilization was about to end, and they were looking for land with timber for building and for fuel.  They had looked at land south of Glendive and declared it was badly misrepresented
because there were only trees in the creeks. I directed these people to Lewistown and their little group headed west.

arrives, it will only read the 00, and then may assume that the year is 1900. 
    You may be affected by the change to the year 2000.  Each computer or product containing electronics may experience problems.  Each situation is unique, it is not possible to predict the computer related problems that you may experience due to the change to the year 2000.  It is important that you examine and evaluate your current  situation on an individual basis. We suggest that you consult with the retailer or manufacturer to determine if your computer or products containing electronic components are year 2000 compliant.  You may find out you need (or do not need) any corrective action. Most insurance companies are issuing exclusions on coverage for Year 2000 Y2K damages because of the unpredictability.  Some insurance companies are offering endorsements to provide coverage for specific situations.

    This situation is a reminder that everyone does not see the world the same. Most people believe that the Y2K computer problem with the year 2000 date will cause some minor problems but will be worked out.  When the year 2000  arrives, it is anticipated that many computer systems will fail to work because they have been programmed to read only the last two digits of dates.  The first two digits are assumed to be 19.  Today a computer "sees" 99 and assumes that the
