1st Sr. Stallions, Grand Champion Sr. Stallion, Reserve Champion Stallion Overall
September 2009
The second herd sire to stand at Big Sky
Shires is "Doc". We can not say enough about this young horse and his
potential as a sire and show horse!!! He is great in mind, foot, feather and
body. They just do not get much better than this in one package.
We decided to upgrade our breeding program the summer of 2008
after loosing our stallion Shakespeare William.
Soon after making several calls to many breeders we were happy to have a personal
offer from Tally Ho Shires on this nice stallion. He was bought to cross on our
fantastic line up of mares.
Doc can hammer out a trot
with the best of them-- this boy can move and is passing it on to his progeny.
The versatility that this horse has is remarkable- and most of that comes from
the mind and disposition that is unbeatable. He already has several foals on the ground and has proven himself in the
breeding shed. He is shipping high quality semen and settling all live cover
mares. Impressive numbers for a young stallion.

Thank you Tally Ho Shires for this Awesome talented and minded horse!!!
Doc is showing potential in cross bred and full shire matings. He is well balanced
with an excellent foundation in his legs and feet-- he shows great length of hip,
is very balanced
and is very eye appealing. He shows great
athletic ability and is passing that on. Doc is adding good clean hocks, solid
feet, bone, disposition,
conformation and movement to his get. Here is a chance to have great movement
with solid conformation, exceptional disposition and correct foundation.

Exceptional personality has attracted us to this horse. He is
very kind and easy to handle. Doc never flinched or acted up in anyway when
first hitched and harnessed- great start for this horse. He shows all the great attributes of his pedigree.
His linage speaks of quality and royalty. Look at the closeness of Cowerslane
Concorde- who produced high quality horses with good feet and minds and then
Garreg William- a stallion who has stamped his mark on the industry producing
some of the best horses in the business.
Doc was tested through UC-Davis
for his coat color genetics spring of 2009. He is EE/aa or homozygous black. You
can not get a sorrel foal. You can check out your possible outcomes by clicking
on the link below for coat color.
