Friday - March 19, 1999
12:15 am - Misti and I left for about 20 minutes to try and find a couch to get some rest and when we came back they were giving her a lung treatment and woke her up (they always do something as soon as we walk out). She screamed for 20 minutes and went to sleep.
4:00 am - Leksie got a bath, bottle, cried and went to sleep. She isn't able to fall asleep, she gets so mad they have to give her a sedative (looks like she got more than just her looks from Misti) to sleep. I don't know what they will do when we're released, maybe they will give us some meds or something.
6:30 am - Misti gets to breast feed her again. She was still kicking at the time we were kicked out at 7 am.
8:00 am - Leksie has a fever so they gave her some medication to help it, and removed her last IV in her left hand.
11:00 am - They told us we were moving upstairs to 3rd floor, so we packed up.
11:45 am - We were told they had to give our spot to another child so we weren't moving upstairs.
1:00 pm - She has been awake most of the afternoon, and crabby.
4:00 pm - We were told once again they had room upstairs, so packed again
5:20 pm - Unbelievable, we are rolling out of the swing unit and on are way upstairs. Upstairs is like the Hilton, we have access to toys, a frig, microwave, TV, VCR, and Misti gets a cot next to Leksie. That's good news because Leksie is getting back to her old self, she decided to quit taking the bottle and crying until she gets her little milk machine known as "Misti". We are told if everything looks good we may get discharged tomorrow but will have to stay in Denver for a day or two.
11:30 pm - She has been awake in bed since 6 pm playing, eating and crying, same old girl. Logan's happy we have a sega game in our room.
