Mid-Rivers does NOT send e-mails to our customers asking you to
e-mail us your Internet account’s username and password.
Mid-Rivers Internet customers may occasionally receive e-mails that appear to be from Mid-Rivers asking you to respond with your Internet account’s username and password. These are “phishing” e-mails sent by unauthorized individuals attempting to fraudulently obtain your account information. Please delete such e-mails immediately and do not respond to them or click on any links they may contain. Responding to these messages or clicking on the links within the message could lead to viruses on your computer, someone taking over your e-mail account, or other forms of identity theft. Mid-Rivers will NOT ask you for your Internet account’s username or password in an e-mail, so please do not respond to any e-mails asking for this information.
