Mid-Rivers to Refresh Channel Line-Ups
Mid-Rivers cable customers subscribing to the Expanded, MegaVue Digital, Digital Advantage Choice and Digital Advantage Ultimate programming tiers will see changes to your channel line-ups beginning April 15, 2014. In place of the Viacom channels which we were forced to remove (read more here), we are adding over 20 new channels including many that have been requested by our customers. The total number of new channels you will see depends on your programming tier and community.

The new channels to be added include:
Sprout - Formerly known as PBS Kids Sprout, this channel provides PBS Kids shows and original programming appropriate for preschoolers and their families.
Fuse - The channel is dedicated largely to music, and features original series and specials, exclusive interviews, live concerts and blocks of music videos. Fuse accommodates a wide range of musical tastes, while targeting a demographic of young adults between 18- and 34-years-old. Fuse will be moving from the Digital tier into Expanded/Choice and will also remain in the Digital tiers.
FamilyNet - FamilyNet features lifestyle programming, game shows, classic sitcoms and dramas, and movies for families of all ages. In January 2013, FamilyNet merged with RuralTV, so this channel now carries the Superior Livestock Auctions.
Comedy.TV - Part of the family of Entertainment Studios networks, Comedy.TV programming includes comedians performing live and taped, as well as hosted talk and variety shows such as Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen.
FXX - Aimed at young men in the 18–34 age range, the channel's programming focuses on original and acquired comedy series, some dramatic programs, and feature films.
Inspiration Network - Features religious, inspirational, spiritual, family-friendly, general entertainment, and motivational programming, including religious services, instructional programs, documentaries, performing arts, motion pictures, music videos, children's programs, game shows and other programs.
3 ABN - 3 Angels Broadcasting Network is a Christian television network with programming designed to reach people right where they are hurting, offering divorce recovery programs, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, cooking and health programs, stop smoking and weight loss, programs that deal with children and family issues, organic gardening, natural home remedies, gospel music programs, as well as a variety of inspirational themes from the Bible for children and adults.
Boomerang - A spinoff of Cartoon Network, Boomerang specializes in classic cartoons from as far back as the 1930s as well as Cartoon Network original programs, and includes shows like The Flintstones, The Smurfs, Johnny Bravo, Scooby-Doo and The Powerpuff Girls.
Pets.TV - A special channel for pet-owners, Pets.TV celebrates the pets we love and the people who love them, with Pet News, Pet Care, Pet Health and Pet Lifestyles.
Nat Geo Wild - Part of the National Geographic family, Nat Geo Wild is focused on animal-related programs, carrying primarily wildlife and natural-history programming.
Chiller - Chiller is a highly requested channel specializing in horror, thriller and suspense programming.
Lifetime Real Women - Part of the Lifetime family of networks, LRW provides general entertainment programming network primarily targeted toward women that consists of a mix of documentaries, docudramas, movies, series, television news magazines, sports and sports-related programming and talk, variety or game shows.
Fox Sports 2 - Another highly requested channel, this new network offers mainstream sports-oriented programming including NASCAR, UFC, and Soccer, plus overflow programming from Fox Sports 1.
MAV TV - Owned by Lucas Oil, MAV TV is a high-energy, thrill ride network aimed at men and featuring insane sports, gadgets, health and fitness, gaming, comedy.
HRTV - Formerly HorseRacing TV, HRTV is now "The Network for Horse Sports" featuring 24/7 Equestrian programming, including coverage of Thoroughbred racing, live and exclusive action from America's top tracks, competitions ranging from rodeo, reining and polo to dressage and show-jumping, award-winning original documentaries and world renowned trainers.
ES.TV - This Entertainment Studios network is dedicated to entertainment news, variety shows, celebrity profiles and today's hottest superstars.
Blue Highways TV - Blue Highways features American roots music and back roads adventure travel, giving viewers the opportunity to discover a vast treasure of American music, art, culture and entertainment. Signature programs include Stan Hitchcock's Heart to Heart, Reno's Old Time Music Festival, Old Country Church and Woodsongs.
Retirement Living TV - The only cable network dedicated to serving the needs of adults 50+ with information and entertainment, Retirement Living TV offers Emmy Award-winning programming that features a variety of genres addressing a variety of subjects including health, finance, travel, reality, comedy, and drama.
MyDestination.TV - The best in travel featuring fun, exciting exotic must-see destinations around the world.
Cars.TV - An adrenaline-pumping network showcasing Emmy Award winning programming of car collectors, designers and innovators.
Recipe.TV - Features famous chefs, amazing recipes, wonderful food and delicious cuisine from around the world.
Lifetime Movie Network HD - A new High Definition channel coming to the Ultimate lineup, LMN HD is the high-definition version of Lifetime’s women-focused movie network, consisting of theatrical, made-for-tv, acquired and original movies, miniseries, or programming related to movies and movie personalities.
Bloomberg HD - Another new HD Channel for Ultimate lineup subscribers providing the high-definition version of Bloomberg’s business news television channel.
You may need to re-scan your television set on or after April 15 to insure you are able to view all the new channels. Please note that it may take a while longer for televisions with set-top boxes to see the new programming, but most changes should be implemented by April 16.
