COE TECHNICIAN - Location TBA
Associates degree in Electronics is preferred but not required. Advanced working knowledge of digital central office equipment and microwave radio. Working knowledge of fiber optic equipment. Desirable to have an understanding of Cellular and other wireless communications. Desirable to have a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity (AC and DC) and a good understanding of digital theory. Desirable to have IP/Data networking experience. Strong working knowledge of CATV headends and plant distribution equipment is preferred. Experience in cable modem and Internet operation over a coaxial network would be beneficial. Computer skills are required.

COE ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR - Glendive, MT
Supervises and performs engineering services on central office, transmission, broadband data, video and mobile & fixed wireless telecommunications facilities. Analyzes and provides management with information on availability and pricing of telecommunication technology and services. Analyzes and evaluates existing communications networks and infrastructure. Calculates and recommends upgrades or restructuring of equipment or routing to meet emerging requirements. Ability to work and effectively communicate with management, peers, and outside vendors. Strong analytical and problem resolution and organizational skills. Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with minimal supervision. A Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering or other relevant field is highly desirable but not required. Minimum requirement is an Associated Technical Degree or five (5) years related work experience. Three (3) years in a telecommunications supervisory capacity is preferred but not required. Specialized training and experience in telecommunications may be substituted for education. Experience in a cooperative or non-profit setting is helpful. Computer and drafting skills are mandatory. Experience with RUS practices is a plus. Must have or be able to obtain valid Montana Driver’s License.
