Must have thorough knowledge of and interest in all aspects of the video production process, including concept development, script creation, taping, and post-production. Requires current understanding of modern digital video production equipment, digital video editors, digital asset management, photo editing programs, sound capture and lighting, and digital editing and graphic design skills. Should have experience with the production of live events and experience both behind and in front of the camera. Must be a people person and a self-starter capable of managing a project from beginning to end. Strong communications skills, able to coordinate with other employees and community members. Must have the ability to understand and adhere to all legal requirements of taping and airing video content. Mid-Rivers Communications, a diverse provider of telecommunications services to a large area of central and eastern Montana is seeking a motivated individual to fill a telecommunications technician position in Glendive, Montana. An applicant with an associates degree in electronics is preferred but not required. It is desirable to have a working knowledge of digital central office equipment. A working knowledge of fiber optic equipment along with a working knowledge of softswitch operation and IP/Data networking experience is desired. It is also desirable to have a thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity (AC and DC) and a good understanding of digital theory. Due to our diverse service offering, a strong working knowledge of CATV headends and plant distribution equipment coupled with cable modem and internet operation over a coaxial network, cellular switching, radio access network (RAN) operation and microwave radio would be beneficial.
