How to Use Voicemail

Select for Cellular Voice Mail Instructions

Accessing Your Mailbox From Home:

1. Dial the 7 digit voice mail number using your home prefix (XXX-0808).
2. A recording will ask for your mailbox number; enter your 10-digit home phone number (406-XXX-XXXX) or press the # (pound) key.
3. Enter your pass code (default is 0000), followed by the # (pound) key.
4. You will hear the main menu options.

Accessing Your Mailbox When Away From Home:

1. Dial your home phone number. When voice mail picks up your call, PRESS the * (star) key.
2. Enter your pass code (default is 0000), followed by the # (pound) key.
3. You will hear the main menu options.

OR

1. Dial the 7-digit voice mail number using your home prefix (XXX-0808).
    
2. A recording will ask for your mailbox number. Enter your 10-digit home phone number (406-XXX-XXXX).
3. Enter your pass code (default is 0000), followed by the # (pound) key.
4. You will hear the main menu options.

Setting up your Sub-Mailbox:

1. Please contact Mid-Rivers to activate this feature.
2. Dial the seven-digit access number using your home prefix (XXX-0808).
3. A recording will ask you for your mailbox number. Enter your 10-digit home phone number (406-XXX-XXXX)
4. Press the * (star) to access the Group Greeting Menu. A voice prompt will guide you through these steps.

Accessing Your Sub-Mailbox:

1. Dial the seven-digit access number using your home prefix (XXX-0808).
2. If you are away from home, you will need to enter your 10-digit home phone number.
3. When you hear your greeting, enter your mailbox ID number (1, 2, or 3).
1. Press the * (star) key at the beginning of your greeting.
2. Enter your pass code, followed by the # (pound) key.
3. You will hear the main menu options.

To Retrieve Messages:

Message Retrieval Menu:

1. Press 1: New messages.
2. Press 2: Saved messages.
3. Press * (star) key: Return to main menu.

Listen to messages:

1. Press 1: Play or replay messages.
2. Press 2: Save message and go to next message.
3. Press 3: Delete message and go to next message.
4. Press 4: Save message as new.
5. Press 7: Skip back three seconds.
6. Press 8: Pause or continue message.
7. Press 9: Skip forward three seconds.
8. Press * (star) key: Return to main menu
9. Press 0: To hear your options again.

Mailbox Set-Up:

To set up your mailbox Press 9 from the main menu.

1. Press 1: Greeting options (you can disregard this step if you choose to use the default greeting).
   1. Press 1 - Play current greeting.
   2. strong>Press 4 - Record your greeting.
   3. Press # (pound) key - End recording function.
   4. Press 1 - Listen to greeting.
   5. Press 2 - Save greeting. Greeting must be saved to be activated.
   6. Press 3 - Delete greeting.
   7. Press 4 - Re-record greeting. Then follow steps c through e again.
   8. Press * (star) key - Return to mailbox set-up.
2. Press 2: Change password.
   1. Enter new pass code, followed by the # (pound) key.
      This pass code is any series of 4 to 16 digits you choose. You will be unable to access your mailbox without this pass code, so be sure to choose one that is easy for you to remember.
   2. To verify, enter your pass code again, followed by the # (pound) key.

3. Press 3: Notification Options (optional).
4. Press 4: Auto Login Enable/Disable.
5. Press * (star) key: Return to main menu.
