Before calling the Technical Assistance Center, please restart your computer, try the connection again, and write down the exact error message that you receive.

In addition, please have the following information available:

  • Operating system (i.e., Windows or Mac)

  • Your username (the first part of your e-mail address)

  • E-mail program you are using (i.e., Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.)

  • We will need to know what you click on to connect to the Internet (i.e., Mid-Rivers Internet Dialer, Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Internet Toolkit)

  • Because other changes made to your computer can affect your Internet settings, please inform us if you have added or removed any hardware or software on your system, especially software firewalls.
