1 Mid-Rivers recommends firewall software (for computer security) due to the "always-on" technology. Visit our Useful Software page to find sites where you can download FREE firewall software for your PC.

4 A $1.49 per hour additional usage charge will apply if you exceed 10 hours in a month.
Where does Mid-Rivers offer Mega SpeedTM Internet?
Cable modem service is offered in Glendive, Lewistown, Miles City, Sidney and Fairview, MT through cable television facilities. An installation fee will apply if you do not subscribe to Mid-Rivers Cable Television.
What kind of equipment is needed for Mega SpeedTM Internet?
A cable modem, which can be purchased for cash or financed through Mid-Rivers. Depending on the type of computer, you will need a Network Interface Card (NIC) or USB network adapter.
Can I hook my Local Area Network up to Mega SpeedTM Internet?
Yes, but you may need some additional equipment. View local area network equipment examples.
I have one computer connected to my Mega SpeedTM modem, can I add more computers to that connection?
Yes, by making some hardware changes referenced above.
Can I give a device attached to a cable modem a static IP address?
Yes, but there will be a small additional monthly charge. For ease of configuration, we recommend this device be setup through DHCP, even though the IP address will not change. This type of ip address is sometimes called a "persistent" ip address.
