Your dialup or broadband account with Mid-Rivers Internet includes free web page space. The address for this web page will be: www.midrivers.com/~your_username
If you wish to have a different address (such as www.your_company.com) we also offer domain name hosting services.
The cost for hosting a domain name is $8.95 per month.
Please follow these steps to get your own domain name set up and working correctly on the Mid-Rivers Internet web server:
- Your web page should already be created and working correctly on the Mid-Rivers Internet web server under your "~your_username" account before proceeding with the following instructions. If you have not done this already, please see our Personal Web Page instructions.
- If you need to register a domain name, please contact Mid-Rivers Internet and we will be happy to assist you with registration options.
- If you already have a domain name registered, it may be necessary to make some changes for it to work correctly with Mid-Rivers' Internet. Send an e-mail to mrtc@midrivers.com and we will assist you with these changes.
If Mid-Rivers Internet is hosting your domain name, you have the opportunity to use virtual e-mail addressing services. Virtual e-mail addresses allow you to have an e-mail address that contains your domain name (such as username@your_company.com).
E-mails sent to your virtual e-mail address will be forwarded into a specific Mid-Rivers mailbox (such as username@midrivers.com). Several virtual e-mail addresses can be forwarded into one Mid-Rivers mailbox. If you want each user to have their own mailbox, you will need one virtual e-mail address and one Mid-Rivers mailbox per user.
The first two virtual e-mail addresses are free. Each additional address is $5.00 per month.
